I took a forest walk with a lichen expert. Each layer of the forest canopy is its own micro-climate and a slight shift in temperature or rainfall can alter the ability for fungi and lichen to grow. This is the inspiration behind Fungi Micro-Climate. So much is growing an living on such a small piece of tree bark. The art is stitched layers of various fiber ad fabrics with hand stitched details. 16”x20” This piece is not yet framed, but can be on request.
