I”m always looking for a new way to new material to make lichen. This was one of those explorations. Hand dyed cheesecloth is stitched down uses multiple techniques. These ‘Kaleidoscopes’ of lichen are stitched on top of quilted fabric tree bark. 8'“x 10” in a handmade frame.
Side note- I’m always dying fabric and I rarely write my formulas down. this was the exception. I found lichen to be a had to identify color.
