This series is inspired by the complex and diverse textures of tree bark. Each tree is a unique microcosm of life. For this piece I layered fabrics for the bark and added hand stitching for more . The pine needles are stitches of embroidery floss. I make each wood frame to fit the canvas. 16” x 20”
